DSO is playing in Chico tonight. A warm up for their 3-night run at The Fillmore.

I'll be there tonight and I'll report back tomorrow.

Sweet and dandy.

Have fun brother. Should be a great show! Hope the show is an epic 74'er.

thank you for that!!! I needed that laugh...

the only time I saw them was at the fillmore and since it was their anniversary they planned not do their standard performance of a show but do kind of a live greatest hits spanning the decades.

they announced it several times but that didn't stop arguments and near fights over what show they were recreating. At first it was pretty funny having people shout out different dates only to change on the next song when they realized that the two were never played together. But then the arguments began and I just wanted to enjoy the show.

Heyo - DSO played the Senator Theater. An old converted movie theater. Perfect. Just me and about 299 of my closest friends.

DSO are very good at pretending to be The Grateful Dead. I immensely enjoyed the experience.

The show was 5/11/77. Donna was awesome!

Highlights were:

Jack Straw, Peggy-O
LL>Supplication
Scarlet>Fire>Good Lovin'

P.S.(LMA Related)

I'm now looking forward to Del McCoury and his boys at the Sierra Nevada Brewery Big Room. This is my favorite indoor venue in the world. I've seen Del(and many other world-class acts)@ SNB on several occasions. Don't expect a critical review because when these guys play, I get all giddy. Until then.....

Del McCoury is still cool. I'm sad to say, however, that his voice and memory have deteriorated in the past few years.

If you are a fan of bluegrass music, I suggest you make a point to see these guys soon. The boys already tour without Del, under the name Travelin' McCourys. It won't be long, I fear, before seeing Del play live will be a rare sight.
